Download, install, register

   Open the download page.

   Enter your email and press Download.

The link appears on the page and is also sent to your email. It works for 24 hours; when it expires, enter your email again to get a new one.

You get a file named CADbyAI-Setup-….exe (about 55 MB). Do not rename it.

Your email is used only to send the download link, renewal reminders and new-version notices.

You do not need to install Python or anything else.

   Close SolidWorks.

   Double-click the file you downloaded, press Yes when Windows asks for administrator rights, then Next.

   Choose your working folder: where your models and drawings live. Claude can write files and run macros only inside this folder. The default is Documents; choose a whole drive such as D:\ if your files are in several places.

   Wait for the “Installation complete” message.

   Quit the Claude app completely: right-click the Claude icon in the system tray (bottom right) and choose Quit, then open it again.

   Open SolidWorks. A CADbyAI tab appears on the toolbar.

No tab? In SolidWorks go to Tools → Add-Ins and tick SwCore.

Open SolidWorks and Claude, then send Claude any request, for example:

Change dimension 241 to 235, split evenly on both sides.

The first time, Claude registers you itself:

   The 30-day free trial for this PC starts by itself the first time Claude uses SolidWorks. Nothing to type, nothing to confirm.

   Claude carries on with your original request. You open no window and restart nothing.

   Your 30 days count from now. Ask Claude “How long is my license?” any time to see how many are left.

Your PC is recognised automatically. You do not send a code to anyone.

Invited by a friend: both of you get +15 days

Either way works:

• Register through your friend’s link (nothing to type). Your friend sends you a link. Download the installer from that link (keep the file name) and install as usual. The first time Claude registers, the PC knows who invited you.
• Put the referral code in your first message. The trial starts by itself on your first request, so tell Claude right then: Activate, referral code XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (the code of the person who invited you).

Result: you get 30 + 15 = 45 days, added right away. The person who invited you gets +15 days after you have used it into the next day.

The days in the code are added to the days you have left (trial or referral bonus), not written over them. Example: 10 trial days left + a 365-day code = 375 days. A lifetime code is lifetime. The code binds to this PC the first time you activate it.

Without Claude (manual way)

Open CADbyAI Kich hoat (in the Start menu after installing), paste the code into the box and press KÍCH HOẠT.

Every PC has its own referral code in the form XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX (16 characters: digits and the letters A–F). The PC creates it by itself. You register nowhere and ask no one.

You use this code for two things:

• Send it to a friend so you both get +15 days (see section 7).
• Send it to the seller or support when you need a license issued for your PC.

How to get it

• Ask Claude (easiest). Write: Give me my referral link or What is my referral code?. Claude replies with your sign-up link and your code, plus a sample message to send to friends. Sending the link is enough; your friend types nothing.
• The activation window. Open CADbyAI Kich hoat. The line “Mã giới thiệu: …” is at the bottom of the window. Press Sao chép (Copy).

If you reinstall Windows, the code changes and the PC counts as a new PC. This is why each purchase code allows only 2 PC changes.

Ask Claude:

How long is my license?

Claude tells you the expiry date, the days left and how many friends you have invited. With 7 days or less left, Claude reminds you by itself while you work.

• Each friend who registers through your link (or code): you get +15 days and so do they.
• There is no limit on how many people you invite.
• Your days are added after your friend has used it into the next day (not the moment they register). This happens automatically, and Claude tells you when a bonus arrives.
• The friend must be on a new PC that never registered. Each PC gets one trial.

CADbyAI gets better every time one of Claude’s mistakes is corrected once and remembered. Contribution mode lets you pass those corrections on, so the next engineer does not hit the same mistake. It is your choice, and the answer “no” costs you nothing.

It is off, and it stays off unless you turn it on. If you never turn it on, nothing is recorded and nothing changes. Your files, drawings and designs stay private exactly as the privacy policy says.

How it works

   When you correct Claude (for example “the keyway should be 10 mm wide, per ISO 773”), Claude saves one short note about that correction.

   Tell Claude “turn off contribution mode” whenever you like. It stops at once.

What a note contains

What is never in a note

• File names and folder paths (they are removed automatically).
• Drawings, models or any design file.
• Company, customer or project names.
• Your email, your name or PC name, or anything else that identifies you.

Why share

• Fix it once. A correction you make today helps CADbyAI draw it right for everyone tomorrow, you included.
• Standards from many countries. ISO, JIS, DIN and ASME habits differ. No single person knows them all; together we do.
• A thank-you. When we adopt your correction into CADbyAI’s shared rules, we thank you with bonus days of use. We decide the amount and the conditions, and days already given are never taken back. If you wish, you are also named in the release notes as a contributor.

If you do not share

Nothing is lost. You get the same features, the same trial and the same price. We never slow down or lock anything for people who keep sharing off.

Sending and approval

Notes stay on your PC, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\cadbyai\contrib, until you separately say “yes, send my notes”. Only then can Claude send them, and only when you ask. A note travels with your machine code, which our server turns into a one-way code, only to count how many different people made the same fix and to credit your bonus days. No IP address, email or file name is sent or stored. A correction becomes a shared rule only after we have reviewed it, and contributors whose correction is adopted are thanked with bonus days. You can turn sending off at any time with DONG_GOP.bat or by telling Claude. Notes already sent cannot be recalled, because an approved rule becomes part of the shared rules. To see or delete what is kept on your PC, open that folder.

Claude says there is no license and does not register by itself?

Quit the Claude app completely (Quit in the system tray), open it again, then send your request again.

“Cannot reach the server”?

Check your network and try again. If your network blocks it, contact support.

“The code has used up its PC changes”?

Contact support and include your purchase code.

Uninstall?

Windows Settings → Apps → CADbyAI → Uninstall.

Is my SolidWorks data sent anywhere?

No. Only these go to the server: the machine code (a hash that cannot be read back), the PC name, and the code you enter, so a license can be issued. Your design files stay on your PC.
