Download and install

You do not need to install Python or anything else.

   Open the download page.

   Enter your email and press Download.

The link appears on the page and is also sent to your email. It works for 24 hours; when it expires, enter your email again to get a new one.

You get a file named CADbyAI-Setup-….exe (about 55 MB). Do not rename it.

Your email is used only to send the download link, renewal reminders and new-version notices.

   Close SolidWorks.

   Double-click the file you downloaded, press Yes when Windows asks for administrator rights, then Next.

   Choose your working folder: where your models and drawings live. Claude can write files and run macros only inside this folder. The default is Documents; choose a whole drive such as D:\ if your files are in several places.

   Wait for the “Installation complete” message.

   Quit the Claude app completely: right-click the Claude icon in the system tray (bottom right) and choose Quit, then open it again.

   Open SolidWorks. A CADbyAI tab appears on the toolbar.

No tab? In SolidWorks go to Tools → Add-Ins and tick SwCore.

Open SolidWorks and Claude, then send Claude any request, for example:

Change dimension 241 to 235, split evenly on both sides.

The 30-day free trial for this PC starts by itself at that moment. Nothing to type, nothing to confirm. Ask Claude How long is my license? to see the days left.

Windows blocks or deletes the installer?

The installer is not yet digitally signed, so Windows Defender may warn about it. Download it again from the download page and, if Windows Security removes it, contact support.

Claude says there is no license and does not register by itself?

Quit the Claude app completely (Quit in the system tray), open it again, then send your request again.

Updating to a newer version?

Run the new installer. It updates in place and keeps your license.
